How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Doxit account at any time from within the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your account at doxit.ai/login
  2. Go to Settings (click your profile in the bottom-left)
  3. Select the Privacy & Data tab
  4. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
  5. Click "Delete My Account"
  6. Type DELETE to confirm

On the iOS app or Android app, navigate to Profile → Delete Account to initiate the same process.

48-Hour Grace Period

After requesting deletion, your account enters a 48-hour grace period. During this time:

  • Your account remains accessible
  • You can cancel the deletion at any time from the same Settings page
  • No data is removed until the grace period expires

After 48 hours, the deletion becomes permanent and cannot be reversed.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is permanently deleted, the following data is removed from our systems:

  • Your profile and account settings
  • All sessions (recordings, transcripts, and metadata)
  • All generated outputs (documents, summaries, task lists, etc.)
  • Uploaded files (audio, documents, images)
  • Templates and saved presets
  • Known participants directory
  • Shared links (immediately revoked)
  • Calendar connections and meeting data

What We Retain

For legal and regulatory compliance, we retain the following in anonymized form:

  • Billing records (invoices, transaction history) — required by Dutch tax law for 7 years
  • Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics

These records cannot be traced back to your identity after account deletion.

Data Export

Before deleting your account, you can download a copy of all your data. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Download Your Data. This exports your sessions, outputs, and profile information as a JSON file.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Doxit account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions managed by third-party platforms:
